What is it?

Chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis o CNH is a skin lesion in which the upper part of the ear becomes inflamed.

It is also known as Winkler's disease, as it was described in 1915 by dermatologist Max Winkler.

It is often painful, especially when pressure is exerted on the ear.

Who is affected?

It mainly affects people over 40, and men. Although it can occur in younger people or women.

For what is this?

There is no clear cause, but most of the time it is due to continuous pressure from the ear, such as sleeping always on one side, excessive use of headphones or exposure to cold.

Symptoms

Inflammation in the upper part of the ear with the appearance of a small ulcer.

Treatments

First of all, you must go to the doctor to diagnose that it refers to CNH and not to other diseases. There are different treatments such as application of topical corticoids, collagen injection, or even surgery.

But the quickest and most economical treatment to reduce or eliminate pressure on the area and thus avoid pain is the use of special pillows with an ear hole.

These pillows are recommended both because of the appearance of pressure ulcers and also after some post-operative or ailment or discomfort of the ear.

In our store we have a CHONDRODERMATITIS EAR PROTECTOR and a PILLOW FOR CHONDRODERMATITIS, which will help you to reduce the pressure and to be able to rest.

The central hole reduces the pressure in the ear area. Both are anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and breathable.

The CHONDRODERMATITIS EAR PROTECTOR is made of velar, foam and velcro.

Its measures are:

Outside: 15x19cm

Inside: 5x6.5cm

Thickness: 4cm

It can be washed with a damp cloth.

The CHONDRODERMATITIS PILLOW is made of Bamboo, Polyester and fibre filling. It is not removable.

Its measures are: 50x42x11cm

It can be hand or machine washed at reduced temperatures.

With them, you will rest as before.
